Houston Studio Portrait Session

I am so excited to share with you this beautiful three month old baby milestone session with you today! It was such an honor taking pictures of this beautiful baby girl this week. This client has been a long time client of mine since 2017. I have had the amazing privilege of capturing her family throughout the years. When I first met Megan, she only had one child. Now she has three. Little Scarlett is her youngest and is such a beautiful little baby girl. This was Scarlett first photography session. Megan expressed to me during her pre-consultation that she wanted to take portraits in the studio. She loves the fresh and clean look of the white theme studio. Its a beautiful natural light white studio and produces the most amazing lighting and timeless looks.

WHEN DO BABY MILESTONE SESSIONS OCCUR AND WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Baby Milestone sessions can occur at three, six, nine, and twelve, eighteen, and twenty-four months of age. During the first two years of life, the baby changes so fast its important to capture moments during this period. From the time they are born to three months, they transition from newborn to baby. At the twelve week mark, the babies start to show a little bit of personality but smiling, looking around, and are just generally more awake. At the six and nine month mark, babies are at another milestone age in their lives. Their communication skills have grown. They are start to blow little "raspberries", which is adorable to capture. They also start turning around and make noise, which is the earliest stages of talking. They start to sit up more and just become more baby like. This is a huge milestone that should be captured and cherish for the baby books. The twelve month milestone might just be the biggest milestone of them all. The baby is one and you as a parent should be so proud. This milestone should be celebrated and captured. Milestone sessions are consider my Simplicity Sessions. Simplicity Sessions are shorter and simpler than my full sessions. They are intended for mother, partner, and children. Everyone can participate in this joyous occasion.

WHAT TIME OF DAY ARE HOUSTON BABY MILESTONE SESSIONS?

I generally do my Houston Baby Milestone Session in the morning to early afternoon. The all white studio is a natural light studio. By having it during the day the sunlight can fill the space and produce a perfect glow in the studio. My job as your Houston Family Photographer is to create a wonderful experience and have an emotional connections with your portraits. When you inquiry, please specify that you wish to take baby milestone portraits in the studio. If you wish to take outdoor baby milestone portraits, we absolutely do that. Those sessions can occur in the very early morning with the sun just rises or about one to two hours before sunset. Most of my clients find it easier to do morning sessions with their little ones. When we do our pre-consultation, you can express to me if you prefer studio or outdoors and morning or late afternoon.
