Custom Portrait Sessions
The first step is creating your dream session is to visit my Contact Page and send me an inquire about your session. Once you send me a quick message, we will set up a free phone consultation to discuss in detail about your photography session. During the consultation, we will go over what your overall vision is, what matters most to you and your family, and how I can help to accomplish those goals and make your dream into a reality. I have three main family portrait packages to choose from, Simplicity, Signature, and the Luxe. Please visit my Investment page to get a full list of my packages. Depending on your photography needs, I will recommend which package works best for your family.
Selecting your Location
Once you book and pay your deposit for a Custom Session, we will discuss over email the location of your session. I will send you a list of locations that are in the greater Houston area. I have captured several sessions within these locations. Some of the locations are in an open field, next to a lake, behind great oak trees, the beach, or urban setting like Downtown Houston. Depending on what you want, I will do my best to suggest a perfect location. If there is a particular place you want to capture your portraits, let me know during our consultation. I primarily photography within 610 in Houston, Texas but can shoot in other locations that are outside of 610 with preapproval. Other locations included but not limited to Galveston, Bellaire, Cypress, Springs, and The Woodlands.
Best time to photography your session
The best time to photography your portrait session will depend on the type of session you book. If you book a studio session, they will take place in the morning where the sun will fill the studio space. This will ensure the studio is light and airy, giving the most soft glow for your portraits. This also applies to lifestyle sessions. I will ask during your consultation when your home has the most light. Typically that is between 10 a.m and 1 p.m. I love using natural light during my lifestyle sessions. Meanwhile, if you are doing an outdoor family portrait session, I will recommend photographing during the golden hour. The golden hour is one to two hours from sunset. Not only will I be able to capture the sunset behind your portraits, but also it will the most golden tones for your photos. If you are taking portraits at the beach, sessions will take place about one to two hours before sunset. As the sun sets, the ski will produce the most beautiful pastel colors making your photographs awe inspiring.
The right selection of clothes is very important to achieve a natural and soft look. Therefore, I recommend neutrals in shades of creams, blush, grey, whites, lavender, light blues, and off white. Picking the right wardrobe for your family a very important step. I am here to guide you if you need help selecting outfits for your family. My favorite places to shop for portraits are: Zara, Target, Baltic Born, Joyfolie, and Nordstroms. Feel free to send me either by email or text outfit suggestions for your family. I am here to help.
When capturing families, I like to have fun. We will laugh together, smile together, and most importantly capturing moments that will last a lifetime. My goal as your Houston Photographer is to make each and every session as enjoyable and memorable for your family. I know it can be hard getting ready for a family photoshoot, but I promise it will be worth it in the end. I emphasize on being silly and let the children be children. I encourage you to play with your kiddos. Your family photoshoot will be full of fun and capturing unforgettable moments that makes your family special.
Many times we take family portraits to have those perfect "Holiday card" photos. I am here to say, they are much more than that. They are filled with wonderful memories and laughter. Your gallery will be filled with joy and timeless portraits that you will be able to love for years to come. I focus on close ups of your babies holding you, moments where your husband embraces your kiddos, and bond of your family as a whole. I want you to look back at these portraits and cherish every detail and moment in your life.
Let's make something beautiful.
